Motorcycle Accidents - Updates on Brother Buff, Brother Ogre and Deacon's son, Josh

DEACON'S SON
Deacon's son, Josh, was in a motorcycle accident on June 9, 2014. He was in critical condition because of his right leg being badly injured. His foot was partially severed and his knee was shattered so after several surgeries, they were able to repair both. However, he is still not out of the woods. The foot was not healing properly so in October they had to amputate half way up the calf. The knee is still functional but it is not bending like it should. But he should be fitted for a prosthetic by Valentine's day and we hope his knee will work with the new prosthetic. Josh's second daughter was born shortly after his accident and he still can't carry her around because he is on crutches, so we are excited that he will be getting his new prosthetic soon.

BROTHER BUFF
Our brother Buff went down on his motorcycle the night of November 8, 2014. Both the bike and our brother survived the accident but with some injuries. Buff's right leg was badly broken. After surgery and some time in rehab we are glad to say that he is at home recovering just in time for spring riding. Thank you to all the brothers, prospects, wives and girlfriends who helped Buff and his wife throughout all of this.

BROTHER OGRE
Our brother Ogre went down shortly after the Wreath Laying Ceremony on December 13, 2014. Unfortunately his bike didn't make it, but Ogre came out of the accident surprisingly well. He was a little sore but is doing great. That's Ogre for you ... it's in his blood.

We are fortunate that both brothers are fine and will be ready to ride this spring!

Wreaths Across America

The club joined the Patriot Guard Riders in the Wreath Laying Ceremony at Forest Lawn Cemetery this morning. This event honors the men and women that served our country and who continue to serve. We were proud to be a part of this ceremony.

"Remember the fallen;
Honor those who serve;
Teach our children the value of freedom."
